BYK-P 9920

BYK P 9920 is an additive specially developed for use in fiber-reinforced plastics used in industrial manufacturing processes. BYK P 9920 improves the wetting of glass or carbon fibers which results in less air entrapment and porosity in manufactured composite materials. This leads to avoiding dry spots and reduces scrap rates in industrial production. Being highly non-volatile, BYK P 9920 is particularly suitable for closed mold manufacturing methods commonly used in industrial solutions. The epoxy-functional groups in BYK P 9920 enable embedding into composite matrices for stronger bonding in manufactured industrial goods. BYK P 9920 additive at levels between 0.5-3% of the total formulation optimizes fiber wetting and reduces defects, improving quality, strength and performance of composite materials used in industrial manufacturing applications.
