DISPERBYK-102

DISPERBYK-102 is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing additive that improves the color acceptance of universal colorants of inorganic pigments in base materials. As a post-additive, DISPERBYK-102 in amounts between 0.5-2% based on total formulation, enhances color strength and uniformity. The additive works by deflocculating pigments through steric stabilization, allowing for more even pigment distribution. This leads to better hiding power and truer color reproduction. DISPERBYK-102 is primarily used with universal colorants based on DISPERBYK-185. It can reduce viscosity while increasing color intensity. Suitable for both solvent-borne and water-based systems, DISPERBYK-102 delivers optimized performance when incorporated before pigment addition into the millbase during dispersion.
