BYK-P 4200

BYK P 4200 is a granulated processing additive used in thermoplastic compounds to reduce VOC and odor emissions. It contains a polymeric, surface-active substance adsorbed onto a polypropylene carrier. BYK P 4200 addition during vacuum degassing reduces odor-causing and emission components in the compound without negatively impacting mechanical or optical properties. It is simple to handle requiring no additional machinery. BYK P 4200 is recommended for PE and PP-based thermoplastic compounds and ABS used in advanced material applications. At recommended levels of 0.5-2% as supplied, it helps formulators meet strict emissions standards for products without sacrificing performance of advanced materials.
