DISPERBYK 2026 is a wetting and dispersing additive that stabilizes a multitude of organic and inorganic pigments and matting agents. Particularly suitable for acid-catalyzed systems and high baking temperatures. DISPERBYK 2026 deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization and uniform electrical charge, preventing coflocculation that leads to non-floating coloring in pigment blends. As a result of small deflocculated pigment particle size, products achieve high levels of gloss, improved color strength and transparency, and increased hiding power. Viscosity is reduced and flow characteristics improved, enabling higher pigment loads. DISPERBYK 2026 stabilizes titanium dioxides irrespective of surface treatment, enabling high whiteness. Its narrow molecular weight distribution provides broad compatibility in binder systems, especially polyester resins. DISPERBYK 2026 is suitable for pigment concentrate production and co-grinding, achieving viscosity reduction in concentrate systems.
