TROYMAX CALCIUM 5NA is a calcium carboxylate of mixed synthetic organic acids stabilized in a mineral spirits solvent. It functions as a pigment wetting agent to improve the fineness of grind, thus helping to improve hardness and gloss in applications. TROYMAX CALCIUM 5NA also minimizes loss of dry when ground with absorbing pigments. It improves the action of Cobalt driers and is often used in conjunction with them. TROYMAX CALCIUM 5NA assists in the through dry of air-initiated auto-oxidative drying systems. It works synergistically with zinc products to provide heat stability. TROYMAX CALCIUM 5NA is typically used at 0.02% to 0.3% of calcium metal based on resin solids to benefit applications through improved pigment dispersion, faster drying time and increased durability.
