CERAFLOUR 994

CERAFLOUR 994 is an ultra-fine micronized additive based on an amide wax. CERAFLOUR 994 improves scratch resistance and sandability of coatings. It reduces the gloss in all solvent-borne and solvent-free coating systems. CERAFLOUR 994 also improves meat release properties in can coatings. The additive is recommended for use in powder coatings based on polyester, polyester/epoxide, acrylate, polyurethane and epoxides. It is suitable for applications requiring food contact approval. CERAFLOUR 994 provides benefits such as improved pigment wetting in coatings manufacture and enhanced electrostatic charge during application. The product is incorporated into coatings at low levels from 0.5-2% to provide protection from scratches and ease of sanding for surface preparation during renovation and construction.
