CERAMAT 241

CERAMAT 241 is a wax dispersion based on an oxidized HD polyethylene wax. It contains 20% non-volatile matter and has a melting point of 135°C. CERAMAT 241 is dispersed in a 1:1 mixture of xylene and butyl acetate as a carrier. It has an average particle size of 25 microns and a viscosity of 300 mPa.s at 23°C. CERAMAT 241 improves the scratch resistance and surface protection of coatings. It reduces settling in containers and provides a soft-feel effect. CERAMAT 241 also has a matting effect which is beneficial for coatings used in construction and industrial applications. It can be used in solvent-borne furniture and floor coatings where improved durability and appearance is required.
